Had to go do some holiday shopping over the weekend, solid 4G LTE coverage on US18 between Blytheville and Jonesboro, now, including all the small towns that you miss if you blink, also contiguous coverage from Blytheville to Memphis, Memphis to Jonesboro....And the one I've been waiting and...

Hopefully they'll get you by the end of the year. I would think it would already be on. I didn't figure this little ghetto town would get it till next year.

Been a while since anyone posted here. I took a trip over to the Mountain Home area this past weekend, and pleased to say they've turned on LTE there. I had it everywhere I went around the lake, as well as in Henderson, Mountain Home, Cotter, and Gassville. The VZW coverage map, just like in my...

With 3G, pinging the Bixby, OK server gave me the best pings. Have dropped below 80, before. With 4G, that same server gives me 160+ pings. The Memphis server seems to have the lowest ping over LTE from my location. My average speeds are 20-30 during the day, till later. After midnight and...

I'm loving the LTE here, the only thing wrong is the ping times...The lowest I've gotten was in the high 80's, usually 95-150 which seems really high for LTE. The latency hasn't really improved over 3G, as I usually averaged 85-100 on 3G. I hope they get to you in Malvern really soon! It...

I noticed it actually shows El Dorado and the surrounding area as being covered by LTE, but they still haven't updated the map to show we have it. I did find this on the Verizon website: Blytheville, Arkansas Residents, Businesses Now Have Access To Faster Wireless Connections With Launch Of...

I couldn't find Blytheville actually listed anywhere in any announcement. I've had a chance to drive around the area and check out the coverage, and it's quite expansive. They've done a lot of work in the last few weeks, it seems. The coverage reaches west past Dell, AR on AR hwy 18, south down...

Re: Little Rock/Central AR LTE Well, I woke up to No G. No service at all. Then 1X, then 4G, then nothing again. So I guess they're either fine tuning or having trouble. I hope they weren't just teasing us! I am 60 miles away right now so not sure.

Re: Little Rock/Central AR LTE YAY!!!! 4G LTE was turned on here around 5 o'clock this afternoon. So very excited! Hope Verizon is showing you guys down there in central AR some love. I'm not sure if Paragould got it, but for sure, it's on here in Blytheville, and in Jonesboro. Getting an...

Re: Little Rock/Central AR LTE The "not in my backyard" is absolutely a problem in this state. People have such irrational, unfounded fears of things they don't understand. Agree with you there, that's probably another part of the slow progression of LTE in Arkansas.

Re: Little Rock/Central AR LTE This might be a little immature, but I'm pissed that Harrison got it. Harrison is the most backward, redneck, KKK lovin bunch of horrible people I ever saw in my life. One of my buddies stopped at a gas station there and the lady asked him where he was from, and...

Re: Little Rock/Central AR LTE This backward state we live in is a big reason we haven't seen more expansions in Arkansas. I wouldn't be surprised if approval is what is holding us up here, and probably in Paragould too. In January, one of the tower companies tried to get approval to build a...

Re: Little Rock/Central AR LTE I was in Paragould over the weekend, the entire town is served by 2 sites. They originally put a 2nd sector on each tower last March, around the same time a lot of the towers in northeast AR got additional equipment added, some equipment taken down from some of...

Re: Little Rock/Central AR LTE I was disappointed with all the rollouts thusfar until this latest. It's obvious they're back at it, just a slow start to the new year. Although they're claming, what, around 27 new markets? Siloam Springs is an expansion on the Ft Smith market. Pine Bluff is more...

Re: Little Rock/Central AR LTE I was surprised to see anyone still posted on this thread, glad you're still posting what you see, One Radical Dude. As far as I can tell, all the hardware upgrades on the towers in Paragould, Jonesboro, and Blytheville (and all the towns in between) are done...

Did Verizon slow down the 4G LTE rollout?

You said it bro! It really sucks being in a place where I can drive less than an hour, any of 3 directions and have it. Then they tease us by working on the cell tower. I really hope to see a more impressive launch next month...guess we'll have to sit and wait :-(

Re: Little Rock/Central AR LTE Same for me! Before I experienced LTE, the fastest I'd ever seen was the T3 we had at my old job. I was sitting in Ruby Tuesday in Jonesboro when I got my fastest speed ever. It was 53 down and almost 20 up, back in September when the network was a little...

Re: Little Rock/Central AR LTE Most of the rural sites in this area were upgraded last March or April. The 2 in Paragould were in March. If you look at SBA and American Tower websites you see a lot of the towers that include pictures show the dates of March and April. I'm not sure if they were...

Did Verizon slow down the 4G LTE rollout?

I was hoping that was it, that they were busy finishing up 2011, and preparing for a huge launch. I was hoping we'd get an impressive list of markets, or at least a good handful of towns turned on across the country, but I feel they've slowed down too. I was so so so very excited a few weeks...
