Does T-Mobile cancel you account for you when switching to them?

don't forget that you might incur an early termination fee from your old carrier by doing this... yes the port from one carrier to another will cancel your old account (or at least that line on the account if you have multiple lines) but you may get dinged for cancelling before your end of...

    3G on 1900 MHz

I was actually in the process of switching and presently have a vzw iPhone 4s... this is great because I'm planning to dig out some of my old ATT androids and I'd much rather have 3G than EDGE. I'll be trying my Nexus One and Atrix on T-Mobile

Readers choice awards: AT&T's best Android phone

Nexus S is the hands down winner. I have an Atrix and like it but I hate motoblur and when the bootloader was locked and I had limited hacking capacity as a result I jumped ship for a NS4G on Sprint and couldn't be happier. The NS on AT&T would be great for me

Readers choice awards: Verizon's best Android phone

I was actually looking at this pole to figure out which device I might want on vzw. I've been an Android user on AT&T (Atrix and N1) and on Sprint (Evo and NS4G) but vzw has the best coverage in my area. I've liked my Evo so the Thunderbolt was tempting but I'm concerned about battery life...

Readers choice awards: Sprint's best Android phone

I own an Evo 4G and a Nexus S 4G. I voted for the Nexus S. I looked really hard at the 3D when I got it but the Samsung screen is just too beautiful to even look at anything else after seeing it. I also prefer the size of a 4" screen as I have small hands and the 4.3+" devices that seem so...

    Incipio Feather Case anyone?

I have one and love it. I started off with an Otterbox Defender that I ordered from AT&T when I pre-ordered my handset. It was very protective but pretty bulky. I wouldn't carry that in a front pocket. I got the Incipio Feather next and have been very happy with it. It feels good in my...

    lousy contact linking

I have a bit of a rant.... I'd previously used an Evo and liked how the contact list would let me link Facebook, Twitter, and Flickr contacts to their Google contact and create a single contact with all their info and feed data in a single point. I liked how I could control the displayed name...

I rooted!!! Is there a free wireless tether app?

Oh, it's possible, and is how I got to those hidden parts of the app store :) I don't disagree that I found it odd that I could enable wifi after entering airplane mode, but it was an effective way of finding apps like wifi tether so I'm glad it works this way

    Otterbox Commuter Series Case

I ordered the defender with my Atrix since the Commuter case wasn't available from AT&T directly. I've also placed an order for a Commuter. The Defender is a big case - it feels very protective and is much less slippery than the device naked. After using the Commuter on my Sprint Evo I'm...

I rooted!!! Is there a free wireless tether app?

I use the wireless tether app and like it a lot for occasional connectivity for my laptop and iPad. It didn't show up in the market until I put the device in airplane mode and connected to wifi. Apparently it's blocked when you are connected to AT&T's network and doesn't show up in the store
