Question about Y3 Smartwatch

Does anyone know about this Android 5.1 watch from China? It looks really good for $90, but I'm worried about security? Would it be safe to use your Google account on this type of watch? Does it connect via BT to your phone and send notifications like Android Wear? Can run using official apps from the Play Store like Nike + and Play Music streaming?

Hi the security aspect would be the same as any phone... That you could buy from China. You won't get notifications from your phone if it's in stand alone mode eg sim inside, but you could still receive WiFi or 3g notifications if connected to WiFi or you insert a sim. (Bluetooth on stand alone watches is app based and only used to transfer pics or music not to sync data in general)

You can receive notifications via Bluetooth. And @KAZIKD yes, you're right, these watches are made for stand alone mode, but you can download the companion app using it as a tethering watch(companion mode). You can receive notifications, read messages but you can't make calls via Bluetooth. And about apps, you can install apps from Play store, but some of them won't... u know bad OS/hardware, tiny screen. Most of them work well, cheap but fully functional.
