I think I am going to try to write an app myself. Always wanted to try...

I tried the RunKeeper app on Saturday. It was just updated to track GPS on the wear platform.

I found it to be a bit glitchy, with some of the interaction not obvious, such as displaying stats requiring selection of the command more than once.

I ran with my phone running the Nike+ app. The RunKeeper app was going on the phone too.

I found all three apps were giving me different mileage. My goal was to run 10 miles. Near the end of the run, the RunKeeper watch app said I had run 10.4 miles while the RunKeeper phone app said 9.8 and Nike+ said 9.6. After stopping all three apps, they all mostly agreed with the Nike+ app.

I am not sure this is a product of the GPS being less accurate on the Sony watch, the algorithm used by each app or a combo of both. I will continue to test to try and figure out out.

It is a pretty interface, however. I hope they are able to tighten it up.
