Anybody know if the Z3c is coming to AT&T. There seems to be an AT&T compatible (700 and 1700) LTE varient listed (GSM Arena)

This is my only sub-5" screen option, yet it doesn't appear destined for AT&T. It really pains me, but I'm strongly considering the 4.7 iPhone. Screen size is one of my top priorities (camera is up there as well)

Even though the iphone screen will be only 4.7", it has very large bezels, so its overall size will be as big as the 5-5.2" phones.

Rumored specs (and it all is coming out official as I type) is that the 4.7 iPhone is shorter (barely) and narrower than the Moto X, which would be my other option. My current device (s4) is at my max of desired size.

I should work on ATT and T-Mobile. If it has the same bands as the Z2. I used the D6503 z2 on ATT LTE And sold it to a t mobile user and it worked in t mobile LTE also. I am in the Dallas area.

I can't post links yet. If you google "clove uk z3 compact" then Clove UK's site will pop up. $475, unlocked for the Z3 Compact. Good price IMO.
Probably a dumb question, but is that the same version to be used in the US or will there be a different unlocked version released later?

This is the unlocked version. I imagine it would be the same as an att or t-mo version should there ever be one. This one will have no carrier bloatware though.

That one says it supports

850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz for 3g, and

Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 20

For 4g.

Does anyone know how that maps to us carrier bands?

And what did you find? ;)

I'm never sure how to read the numbers, because it seems like there are multiple instances of how some bands are used. And I think the Moto X on Clove would be the international version, not the US version. But here is what I can find:

Sony
850, 900, 1700, 1900, 2100 MHz for 3g, and

Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 13, 17, 20 for 4g.

AT&T
850 & 1900 for 3g
Band 17 and in some markets, 4 and 2, and maybe also band 30 for 4g

T-Mobile
1700 (and ?) for 3g
bands 12, 4, 2?

I also travel from time to time, and this phone seems to have almost all the bands I might want to use in Canada and Europe. :) Australia and NZ are iffier.

I believe 700, 1700, and 1900 are the key LTE bands for AT&T. From GSM Arena, it is expected that the Z3c will support these bands. However, I'm not certain when, which device, where it will be sold, etc.. I am very interested in the Z3c. Anyone have thoughts about the camera and how it compares to other mainstream devices (i.e., not Lumia 1020)? (PS: I'm allowed to hijack the thread, right?...since I'm the OP)

I think those are (in some order) bands 17, 4, &2, which clove says are supported by the phone they are selling.

Sadly, the wall street journal has a big article today about how Sony is doing really badly in cell phones. I hope they stay in the game, but they might not.

Phone arena just reviewed this phone and gave it a 9/10....even better than the regular Z3. Wow. If this thing comes to ATT or unlocked with ATT it might just be enough to make me switch over from verizon.
