Having problem with an App trying to show its contents on first loading?

Ive recently moved from iPhone to the Z3. Ive downloaded a News app which was working fine on the iphone but when i load it on the Z3, it loads but doesnt show the content (i.e. news). I just get a loading message so its trying to load the content but it just 'hangs'. Ive cleared the cache and the data, rebooted my phone and tried loading the app again but still the issue persists. What i did notice, is when itried loading this app on the HTC M8 and other andriod phones it seems to be fine. Cant understand why the issue is just associated presumably with this device?

Which News app is It? Are you running kitkat or lollipop?

It's a local one. Manchester evening news.

There are two different apps in the Play Store with that name. One of them have just a couple of reviews and both have just 1 star. The latest reviews for the other app are mostly bad as well. Maybe some conflict with Lollipop. Who knows. Contact the developers by email and see what they tell you.
