So I had been waiting for my Linkmount (Home) for a while. It was a Kickstarter campaign that took a long time to get delivered. Received in earlier this week. Pretty nifty device. Its combines a kickstand and mount into one device. Had plans to use it on my Z3, but switched to a Z5C but they deleted the magnetic charging port which was an intergal part of my plan. I really liked the fact that I didn't have to stick the micro usb connector into the Z3 by using the Sony dock. The new Z5 series dock has the micro-usb connector sticking up in the dock which means it becomes more difficult to place in the dock without being able to see what you're doing (in the dark). Undeterred, I found this:

Robot Check

Armed with my 3D printer, I decided to make my own desk and car docks. In the case of the car dock, I also used a Proclip mounting base for my car.

The Linkmount also has the ability to use a standard 1/4"-20 threaded camera mount. So using an adjustable mount I have for my Sony Action Camera, I can also mount my phone pretty securely to my motorcycle. It also has a slot at the bottom where I can insert a clip, to which I plan to attach a leash to the motorcycle in case it starts coming loose. I don't plan to ride with my phone like this very often, but could come in handy where GPS would be helpful.
