Youtube playback problem

It wont play videos, keeps saying "there was a problem while playing video"any ideas?

This has been on ongoing problem for most, if not all Android phones have while sometimes trying to play YouTube videos. I doubt that the problem is your device, I believe this problem is cause by either the Adobe flash player, or the length of time the video takes to buffer. Either way Google need to address this issue. Most times tapping on the thumbnail video does seem to start playing the video.

*Note*
You could uninstall and reinstall the "YouTube" app, or uninstall and reinstall the adobe flash player updates. Menu - settings - applications - manage applications - downloads. And for the YouTube app... go to All.

I started having the same problem today. I've checked for updates and restarted my phone but no luck

This happens to my epic occasionally when I use or install a lot of apps I don't know what trigges it exactly, it goes back to normal after I reset the phone... however I wish I knew a way to resolve this without resetting, iv tried toggleing 4g... 3g.. fc's youtube.

You do mean restarting your phone and not resetting?

Have you tried a proxy server fix? Video playback is sometimes an issue with Sprint Android devices specifically.
