Hey can someone help me and create a script to rename JPGs? I'm so sick and tired of iPhonies and other cronies sending me "imagejpeg_2.jpg" or "photo.jpg"! WTF is that? Everytime I get one of these, I have to rename it first, then place it in my "Photos\<insert son's name>" folder.

Can someone create a script to rename any jpg or jpeg to automatically rename it to it's Date Taken or Modified Date?

When I'm at home and on m PC, I use Bulk Rename Utility. Great program, but I can only use it at home. And at work, don't even get me started, they keep the workstations and network so secure you can barely use them.

When I do it at home, I find that the Date Taken sometimes isn't populated in the jpg. But Date Modified works all the time. As long as it is the current Modified Date and not the date when you run the script.

Any help or direction would be appreciated. I could do it in DOS, but my linux and especially Android knowledge just isn't there.

Thanks.
