Mic Issue

For some reason it seems like only Verizon people are having this issue but I'm having the same one.

Basically the mic during the call is useless. People can't hear me at all. When i turn the phone flat and speak directly into it some sound goes across but not all.

Does anyone know a fix for this?

Also if I put it on speaker it works fine.

Mine works fine, only after a six second delay when I answer a call can anyone hear me. Rest of call is fine.
