does the s3 sync well with exchange

The android source code is fully OMA/EAS compliant so anyone creating a build already starts with a compliant base. That said, if you don't like the native email client there are countless alternatives which also support exchange, and their various security policies. Some people who skirt EAS policies enjoy enhanced email, while other may like touchdown because the policy is enforced on the apk, not in the device settings.

Also keep in mind that Samsung will be launching some "SAFE" branded GS3 which is supposed to be more geared towards enterprise users.

I have the original evo now and use thes stock app so as long as its similar I'm good.

Oh yeah in that case your good to go. Integration has only gotten deeper into source so it'll work.
