New SD card

I got a bigger SD card. I have never "upgraded" like this before. What is the best way to do this? I've done some simple searches and didn't find *all* the answers. Do I copy the old one to my computer and paste to the new one? If so, do I format the new card first? Anybody want to give me a little tutorial or direct me to a resource that could help? Thanks!

Are you rooted or plan to be? If not, just put it in. no formatting required.

Copy the contents of your old sdcard to your computer. Then copy they files from you computer to your new sdcard. It's that simple.
