Two NS4Gs one stock rooted and the other plain stock. Both running the neural network live wallpaper. The rooted one looks dull and washed out. The stock it a lot different. Both at the time are running 2.3.7. How is this? But if I install a ICS rom and pick the same wallpaper it looks fine.

The rooted stock I would think would look the same as the unrooted stock.

I can easily see it looking different on the custom rom you loaded. The colors are (from what I'm told) controlled by the kernel and not the rom. The rom you loaded may have a color tweaked kernel (perhaps to remove the green flash.).

Okay I just used odin to install 4.0.4 on the stock and then I used Peters rooted 4.0.4 and they both look pretty close now. The other little difference could be the Zagg guard.

On a side note I used odin and it unlocked the bootloader on my stock one.
