Battery Drain

Hello All,

This is my first time posting and am fairly new to Androids.

I have been searching for tips and tricks to help with my battery. The battery is hit or miss most days and is very annoying. One day it will last 16 hours with little to no use and many other days it won't make it 6 hours with zero use. On one instance I left my phone at home on wifi and when I came home 6 hours later it had died. Just last night it was off the charger on wifi with 100% battery and when I looked at it at 5:30AM it was at 24%.

normally the screen eats the most battery. in your case its the messaging services. thats where maybe you should look

Check settings in social media and news apps. Often, the default settings have them updating/refreshing/syncing in the background at regular intervals & this drains the battery. The frequency with which your email apps sync is also a factor. GPS also.
