Contact photo sync glitches

I don't know if this is related to the phone or to the version of Android (2.3.5) or even to the version of HTC Sense (the default launcher), but ...

For the contacts that I have that don't sync with a Facebook account, I have added a contact photo for several of them, though not all. The glitch is that though all the contacts are GMail/Google contacts, approximately 1/3 to 14 of the contacts won't display the photo that shows when I look at my GMail contacts. Most of them will show the photo when I edit the contact's contents, but as soon as I "Save" or "Cancel", it's back to the default shadow guy. There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to what syncs and what doesn't, so these are the only clues that I have.

I had a problem with mine to but after the update it seemed to fix it. Make sure there is a. + in front of all the numbers in your contacts.
