Bug locked pictures android gallery 2.3.6

Hi, I have a rooted Motorola Defy Mini (Android 2.3.6).
Overnight, it started to display a "locked" thumbnail for each picture, in the stock
gallery.

I can still view the pictures when tapping on them, but I can’t scroll through them

nor view them as thumbnails anymore.

Has anyone encountered the same problem?

Welcome to Android Central! Are the photos stored on an SD card or Internal Storage? If they're on an SD card, try Unmounting the card, removing it, inserting it into your computer, and running chkdsk to look for bad sectors: http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...guide-using-chkdsk-fix-corrupted-sd-card.html. Before running chkdsk, you may want to back up all of the photo while you can.

You can also try going to Settings>Apps>All, selecting Gallery, and Clear Cache/Clear Data, then Force Stop. Now open it again and wait a few seconds for the database to repopulate.
