Buy now, wait for 7A or wait for Pixel 8

This is a big maybe, but if Google and/or their retailers repeat this recent pattern (reducing prices 4 months or so after launch) where now is a great time to decide whether to get a P7 or wait for the P7a. With all the recent leaks of the P7a, there is enough information available to decide if it's worth the wait or to get the discounted P7. Or even to wait for the P8.

So I am not interested in the P7, but definitely want something new fairly soon as my P5 is getting old. Planning on waiting until Sep or so to see if the P8 is worth the wait or if the P7a is priced nicely. If I find neither interesting, then I'll probably get an S23 as it should be discounted somewhere by then.

Yes! I took advantage of that for my Pixel 7.

I'm still concerned about the curved screen and applying a screen protector. Maybe the pixel 7 was a better choice.

The size of the Pixel 5 is really handy, literally! I loved how easy it was to use mine. I can totally see your point.

I would never have upgraded to the 7 if my 5 hadn't had problems staying connected to cellular data. I do love the 7, but the 5 was the perfect size for me.

I like the size of the 7 but the 5 was definitely easier to wield, especially one-handed.

Best Buy has a pretty good deal right now for both the Unlocked Pixel 7 (starts at $349) and the 7 Pro (starts at $599). I just purchased a 7 Pro a few days ago but I was still within my return period so their customer service matched the current price for me.

After hearing the reports that the 8 maybe be smaller in size, I'll probably trade my 7 in just for that reason only. I came from Pixel 3 to 6 to 7 and really miss the size of Pixel 3.
