Camera update crashes phone

Hi guys when setting up my hubby's 7 Pro today the camera app crashes the phone. I think it is the latest update. I had side loaded it onto my 6 Pro from APK mirror yesterday and had to uninstall updates to get my camera back. And when I was setting up the phone it said the camera kept crashing. I went into settings and uninstalled updates and the camera worked perfectly. I disabled auto updates in the play store for Google Camera until I know they have fixed the issue.

My 6 Pro says the last update for the Camera app was Sep 2, so fortunately I haven't encountered this yet.

Yes. It is when it does the 8.7 update that it crashes. The version you are on is lower than that. I think the 7 Pro updates to that as soon as it starts the installation and update process.

For me it was the opposite, when I setup the 7 Pro camera was crashing. Went to play store and updated all the apps to the latest which included camera app. After the camera app update it's working perfectly.

My current app version is 8.7.165.479933554.19

Same here, couldn't use camera til all its updates were installed.. Fine now though

OK thanks for letting me know. Maybe they pushed a fix. I will try and update his camera app again.

P7 - Camera keeps crashing

Anyone else with P7 having problems with camera crashing? Phone boots up and displays message that camera app has stopped. Launch app and just shuts down.
