Can you manually set up an lg stylo 2 without a sim card

I was given an lg stylo 2 without a sim card. I factory reset the phone and want to set it up manually for myself. Is there a way to do this and get past the configuration part of the phone?

My lg stylo 2 was given to me by a friend. I have almost gotten to the set up device part, but it's paused on the configuring phone status. How do I get past that part so I can easily at the phone up to my information?

Welcome to Android Central! That may depend on if the phone was originally from a carrier or not. Some carrier variants might not let the phone be set up without also activating it on the carrier's network. When you set the phone up, see if there's a Skip option when you see the carrier activation screen.
