Can you save a Google map with selected features?

Hi

I asked this question a few hours ago (not as a forum member) but it hasn't shown up yet, so I've joined Android Central to ask it again. Hope no one minds.

I'll be going to a city in Spain soon, and because my tablet only has Internet access via Wi-Fi, I downloaded a map from Google Maps to view offline. I searched for 'Indian Restaurants' for this city and their locations all showed up in Google Maps. It would be great if I could download this version of the map, with all these restaurant locations showing on it, to look at offline. Can this be done? Thanks.

If you want to try Google's My Maps, it oddly doesn't work natively on Android -- you'd have to access that from the browser.
