I have scoured hundreds of pages, looking for a compatible cifs.ko file for the LG Optimus S running ZVH / 2.6.32.9 to no avail.
Every version I try yeilds an unsatisfying:
insmod /mnt/sdcard/cifs/v1/cifs.ko
insmod: init_module '/mnt/sdcard/cifs/v1/cifs.ko' failed (Exec format error)
so then of course when I attempt to mount the volume:
mount -t cifs //192.168.1.101/ /mnt/sdcard/media
mount: No such device
It is my understanding that this is due to a kernel compatability issue?
** Shout out to Drew ** Thanks for all the work you do!
Is there a proper compiled version of cifs.ko that can be used with ZVH/Opti-Rom?
I have very little experience compiling modules from source code.. so if one is handily availabe it would be much appreciated.
btw. I am trying to mount at the filesystem level so that my media streamers can find the path to the samba shares.. some players just don't see network shares.
Thanks,
Ranger
