Downloaded images don't show up in folder

Sooo whenever I download an image, let's say from google for example, it takes a good 5 minutes before it actually shows up in the Downloads folder in my gallery. Anyone know why this might happen and/or what can be done to correct it?

Hi and welcome to the forums. I have experienced the same thing. My guess is the OS only scans for new pictures every so often. I don't really know how to force it though.

If you need immediate access you can always go to your Downloads folder using a file manager app.

I have the same problem. But it's occures on the downloads from Google Chrome app. Like tumblr or gmail downloads appearing immediately it could be something about google chroms new version because when I go back like 2 updates before there was no such an issue like this
