Easy question - rerooting after lollipoop

Hey guys. Currently running on KK, rooted with phone working good.

If I install the update, I understand I will lose root, but can I just follow the exact same steps to reroot that I used when rooting when I was on kit Kat?

please tell me how I can't root the note 3 I have.

It is smn900v with the upgrade to lollipop 5.0.1. I don't have the build number handy.

I have searched everywhere to find a root solution. I have pics and voice recordings I must retrieve.

I will pay $ for help.
