Most devices removed remote unlock options (Samsung being the latest with their new app update), but even then that would only work if you had a working data connection on the device. Unfortunately, without providing the correct lockscreen login credentials, there is no way to access the phone or its contents (this is by design... Security, you see).

Welcome to Android Central! You want to transfer files to the device whose password you lost? Or do you mean you want to transfer files from it, since you presumably can't access it any more due to not remembering the password?

You can still remotely unlock your device on Samsung needs to be enabled on the device with an app called" find "
Go to the website and log in with your Samsung or Google credentials Screenshot_20240208_164835_Chrome.jpg

You can lock now, but not unlock. It's weird, I could have sworn the S24 asked me if I wanted to be able to unlock remotely (on Secure Folder at least), but then BOOM! New app, new options, no unlock.

Haven't tried I'll have to test this from my Fold 5 , one thing they eliminated or didn't see is backing up.?

Yup, back up is now only available for the 'main' phone, not Secure Folder (cloud at least, but you can still restore from it if you have a previous back up, and you can still do it with Smart Switch when getting a new phone).

Just checked, you can RESET the lock credentials remotely, but not unlock.
