Does widget locker lockscreen negatively impact your battery?

I am having a problem with the apex launcher. It seems to formatting everything just a little off. As you can see, the widget is too low, and looks awkward to me. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Have you tried adding more rows in the Home screen setting in Apex, then resize the widget?

Also, I think you can adjust the margins between widgets... That may fix it

I am still running Touch Wiz launcher, its not that bad. But I'll be moving on to Nova Launcher pretty soon, since I can't stand the stock icons. Battery life also seems pretty good, but still testing to see if I can squeeze out more time.
