Galaxy s5 booting problem

[Android Central Question]

My mates son updated his phone but ever since it just keeps rebooting when it gets to the Samsung galaxy s5 logo , this happens about every 3 seconds

I’ve tried up volume , home button and on , same screen comes up but with blue writing at top left saying something like safe boot ?? But then it starts doing it’s 3 second reboots

Any help please

Welcome to Android Central! Was it a system update? How did he do the update? The S5 is an old phone, so there haven't been any official over-the-air updates in a while. If he tried manually flashing a custom ROM, it's always possible he used a ROM intended for a different variant of the S5 (which can cause various issues).
