Google Hangouts uses high CPU.

After I finish a video Hangout my CPU shows consistent high usage (above 45%) for several minutes (going on 45 min now). My Watchdog app alerts repeatedly go off.

In the picture you can see that the top processes are related to Google Hangouts app. The Media download is high too. I guess this is from downloading the video from the other person.

But, why is the CPU usage still so high long after the hangout is over? It's killing my battery (which is tough to do with the 7000mAh ZeroLemon). I have to restart the phone to get it to stop.

Anyone else see this too?

You're aware that the cumulative ratings for this app are 3.4 stars?
Sounds like you're seeing the side effects of a poorly coded app.

You can kill it whenever you're done so that it doesn't continue to thrash your phone, or look for a replacement - there's a bazillion out there.

I do kill the app when I'm done using it but the other media processes (that it uses) continue to run and consume lots of cpu and battery.

Yep, I know there are options. Thanks.
