Google play games profile

I just got my S23 ultra today and so far I'm loving it, but I'm having an issue with google play games. I am able to sign in, but it will not load my profile or any of my data. I've already tried clearing the cache/data for play games and uninstalling/reinstalling and it's still the same. Is anyone else having this issue?

I am not using a VPN and I was able to fix it by clearing all the data for Google play games and play services.
