Help with activation?

So I picked up mine today used my daughter's upgrade LOL at the store!
phone was activated while I was there and soon as it was done I shut it off to not hear all her frigging texts from friends so then I got home to do the old switch a roo and I'm guessing since I didn't leave the phone on after it was done it hasn't updated on my Verizon yet so I can do the switch how long do you guys/gals think this will take to update so I can switch thanks.

I would call support and have them assist with getting the phone swapped
