How can I increase distance Bluetooth stays connected to my S8?

I've been using Bluetooth for years with other phones and the range has been great. But my new S8 disconnects from Bluetooth at about 7 or 8 metres so it doesn't even cover half my house. How can this be improved?

Change phone. I had the exact same issues on both my S8 and S8+. Never had issues before them and never had issues after them. Currently using the Note 8 and I was worried it would be the same but Bluetooth range has been excellent on it.

There's loads of threads here in the forums about the awful s8 Bluetooth range so it's not an isolated case with us
