How can I use my deactivated phone?

I'm switching phones but a game I play won't transfer its data correctly. I need to access my old phone after the new one is activated. How do I use a deactivated phone for games and wifi, without re-activating it? Obviously, I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 with the new (worst most flawed) jelly bean update.

Thanks!

I have a few Galaxy victory phones which were activated then deactivated and even in their deactivated state, everything data related worked over wifi

I don't know how to get past the activation screen. I figured there was some type of code. If I activate my new one, will my old one automatically deactivate? If not and it starts up the same way, then all is well and I can access my game.

Yes, the old one will automatically deactivate when the new one is activated

If your old phone is deactivated I don't see why you'd get an activation screen? It should just turn on like normal and you can connect to WiFi.

Once the phone is activated, there shouldn't be an activation screen.

So when I activate my new phone, my old phone will still be accessible so I can access my games and such? I just figured after my new phone gets activated, my old one will automatically deactivate so I can't access any files or games.

I'm talking about an activation screen on my old phone AFTER my new one is activated. Hypothetically, if I activate my new one, will I still be able to play games and look at pictures on my old phone...Or will it automatically deactivate so all I see is the activation screen on the old phone?

Sorry if I'm not making sense or not understanding your answer. I just want to activate my new phone but still be able to access my games on my old phone.

After the new phone is active the old will still come on with out activation prompts. You will be able to use it over wifi. My son uses my old EVO like an ipod touch. He can do anything online as long as there is wifi.

Yes, after activating the new phone, the old one would essentially work like an android ipod. Everything would work over wifi
