How do I trick an app into thinking I have a 7 inch screen?

I have an app that I need for school that requires at least a 7 inch screen. I have an lg g2 that has a 5.4 inch screen, of course. Is there anything available that will trick the app into thinking I have a 7 inch screen?

Are you saying you can't install it from the Play Store because it says it's not compatible, or you installed it and it won't work?

Also, are you rooted? Because it's likely the only way to make this work is to edit the prop.build or dpi of the device at the system level, which will effect all other apps... depending on how/what is blocking the application.
