How long will the N20 5G (Verizon) receive security and software updates?

I just got my wife the N20 and she loves it. She had a N9 before so the differences are pretty clear cut. But we were wondering how long this phone will be getting OTA updates.

We got a terrific deal. $239 on Amazon for a refurbished phone that was, for all intents and purposes, brand new. Not even the tiniest of scratches or signs of wear. And they gave us $71 for her old N9 bringing the grand total with tax to $200.

A related question - is it safe to continue using phones after they stop receiving security updates?

I can't remember if it's 4 or 5 years of security updates for that model but it launched in 2020 so will remain updated until late 2024 or 2025.

Personally wouldn't bank or shop on a phone that's no longer updated but there isn't a huge concern. Android is still a very secure system.
