This isn't a post on how do you block ads, rather it's sharing information I came across that is flipping amazing and very very effective, so I am sharing the article. No 3rd party apps, just a mere changing a setting.

Read the article and follow the instructions, virtually no more ads, at least on all the apps I use anyway - NY Post, XDialer, Song Pop, Audiomack.

Thanks for the info - I'll have to check it out.

As a side note: Since this setup doesn't block YouTube ads, I found that you can block them by using the Brave browser for YT viewing. Ever since reading about that trick, that's the only way I'll watch stuff on YT. You can't make it the default YT viewer, but you can copy (Share) the link in a video any time you are forced to use their app and paste it into Brave.
