Android Central Question

I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus 5G. Using a USB type c to HDMI I've connected my phone to my Samsung model number CF392 curved monitor. I noticed that my battery was dying rapidly. I pulled down the notification tab and clicked on the Android system tab to change the USB settings. In here you can select how to be controlled either by connected device or the phone then there is a section to select the USB settings which is not highlighted and cannot be changed from here. Then at the bottom it says charging connected devices when turned off the phone would charge and the toggle is Switched on. So my phone is trying to charge my monitor. When I select it to disable it or turn it off it does nothing. It highlights the button to indicate that I'm touching it but it does not turn off. Also at the top If I try to change the control to this device it says couldn't change device and it disconnects me from the monitor. Can anyone tell me how to disable charging connected device
