i remember flashing original firmware back in the day and it was android 4.4.3
Was probably easier to get the firmware, can try XDA forums , but you have to understand we are almost andriod 11 version , 4.1 or 4.4 is going create lot of app compatibility issues , long run your better off with a newer phone at least on andriod 8 or 9

1 thats exactly what i did - i downloaded the firmware and flashed it, but that was in 2015 or 2016 when the phone was still in its heyday
2 i perfectly understand that you can't use a phone with android 4.4.3 in 2020, thats why I have a Samsung device running Android 10 as my main phone, this, as I've mentioned in the very beginning, was just a project to kill some time,

but anyway, what is the best tool to flash an HTC device? I know which tool to use for Samsung and Sony devices, but not for HTC
