I have a mixed IPV4 , IPV6 environment on my home 'lan' . My isp link is IPV4 only. The devices on my lan get their IPV6 addresses via 'SLAAC'
If I create a IPV6 host entry on my router (Openwrt) I can ping,host,dig etc with no problem on my Linux box .
On my Android Samsung A13/Android14 I can connect to the IPV6 host directly with no problem .
However neither Firefox,Chrome or the Samsung browser can resolve the IPV6 host by name .
Logging dns on the router shows the Phone trys for an 'A' record , gets 'NODATA-IPv4' and then gives up.
the Linux box on the other hand asks for an 'AAAA' record after the 'NODATA-IPv4' response and this succeeds
