Is desktop mode possible without native mhl output?

[Android Central Question]

Hi I'm curious to try desktop mode. I have a Moto g stylus running Android 12 that does not allow video out through the usb port.

I've bought a Miracast usb to hdmi adapter and can get my phone screen casted but no desktop mode activated. I've enabled developer options with force desktop mode and nothing

Is it possible for my phone to do a desktop mode experience? Any suggestions or advice?
