is there a TWS / airplane mod toggle permanent fix yet?

Update:

There is something in the works. Right now it looks like its only being tested on deodexed version of Froyo EB13. So you would have to be rooted to try it.

FYI - the fix three posts up has been upgraded to "tested, works." I believe it is already included in Bonsai 4.0.0. Look for it in other future ROMs as well.

Ok... so I got my update this morning, let it reboot, haven't done anything to it since, and I'm no longer seeing the cell idle time... which ... seems really odd because no one else seems to be reporting this. I was showing 2% after 4 hours... which, to be honest, seems low considering my reasonably lousy Sprint signal that I get here at the house! ;-) So... for what its worth, on a sample space of one boot, I haven't seen the problem anymore... (wait for it... waaaaiiiit for it...)

Even after Froyo update, if I do not toggle airplane mode a couple of times after a reboot, I still get 10-50% time without signal. When are they ever going to fix this???

Btw, the best app I have ever installed is Juice Defender!!!! At 14 hours since charge yesterday, I was still at 60% battery!!!

A fix is available by using a modified framework.jar file (which I'm using now), which is also built into Syndicate and Bonsai ROMs. Root access required, however.

Confused on this statement. Built into Syndicate? Is the fixt supposed to be built in? or is does this mean that I can apply the fix if I'm running one of those ROM's? I'm currently running SyndicateROM 1.1.1 and forgot to do the "airplane mode" fix this mourning and have a 52% TWS.

Also, seen this mentioned to be based on EB13, will it work on EC05?

Deffinatly could used this fix.
