Lagging galaxy 5s

Our Galaxy 5s's lagging so terribly. Sometimes we can't even answer our phone because the system is so slow. Apps don't work properly, can't text, or use social media. We already exchanged it once. Is there so thing else we can do?

Try doing a factory reset. But dont forget to backup. You can backup easily by connecting your phone to a PC and download smartswitch at the PC. And also, does your phone get hot easily? Maybe some apps are behaving poorly.

Welcome to Android Central! Before the factory reset, try wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data. This can sometimes fix issues like this. http://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-10404

Agree with the cache partition first. If that doesn't work, then Factory Reset. There is no 1 program that fully backs up an Android phone, so I wrote this:

My s5 lagged somewhat when I first got it. I tried wiping the cache partition and that helped at first. What I ended up doing was removing the sd card. My s5 has been running smooth ever since then. With this you may have to watch how many apps you install and what not but I think it's worth it to have a smooth phone
