The thread title may seem familiar to some of you from my original post back in September for the original MMA Manager. MMA Manager Free is our brand new free version of the original. We've kept the game exactly the same, but the free version is ad-supported in a way we think is unobtrusive and feels like the presentation of adverts in real MMA events. Basically, we want more people to play the game and get past the initial barrier caused by the original being a paid game.

So what is it?
It's a menu-driven management game where you're running a gym, building up the facilities, recruiting fighters and coaching/cornering them in fights. It's entirely 2D, with our character art style leaning towards a comicbook style and our UI trying to make use of Google's Material design style guide for colour use. Fights play out procedurally with the fighter's skill levels, martial arts disciplines and gameplans all affecting how they play out. The actual "action" plays out like the kind of play by play descriptions of fights you'd see on sports websites or the to the point descriptions from a good commentator.

Where can I get it?
Google Play - https://forums.androidcentral.com/e....bitbybitgames.mmamanager.free&token=NpYNvfUH

What do people think of it?
The Google Play reviews of the original are sitting on a solid 4 .5 stars so the people that have actually been playing it really enjoy it.
PocketGamer gave it their Bronze Award
Zero1Gaming said it was
“a great management sim to pass time or any train journey or whenever you get a spare moment”

Vice’s Fightland wrote a very nice post about it as well

Why are Bit By Bit releasing a free version?
A few reasons really:
  • First and foremost, the fact our player reviews and feedback have been so positive they’ve given us more confidence that players that were perhaps put off by the price would be more willing to give it a try without that initial barrier of paying for it.
  • We think we’ve integrated Adverts into the game flow well so they fit the feel of the advertising actually shown during sports events.* Hopefully, players should agree that it reduces the level of intrusiveness of the advertising.
  • Instead of taking the already released version free, we wanted to be able to experiment more without affecting our current players.* We’ve had a hugely positive experience interacting with everyone that’s actually played the game & we’re willing to go out of our way to make sure that we don’t screw them over.
  • Last, as with most games released on mobile it’s not sold as well as we need it to if we’re going to continue developing it.* Hopefully the free version should help alleviate that and help spread the word about the game.

Did I mention it's free? :)

GO GET IT!

Please ;)
