Android Central Question

Hi,

I have an old Motorola Xoom 2 that I have been trying to bring back to life. I gave up on it after having the loose charging port repaired.

Today I received a new battery. Replaced it and plugged it in. No power. So I turn it on. The new battery is at 50%. Great! But still not charging.

I've poked a multimeter around to try and determine if its a dodgy port or a broken board or wire. All seems good, with 5v at the battery terminals with battery disconnected and charger plugged in.

Any ideas? Ice cream sandwich seemed to ruin everything including the performance and screen responsiveness at the time. I'm wondering if there is a software issue that won't let it charge.

USB to pc works ok (no charge) and tried multiple chargers including that one that came with it to no avail. Sometimes it detects a charger but doesnt charge.

Done factory reset and recovery mode.

Not really expecting a response as it is old and outdated but I'd quite like to use it for work for a bit.

Any thoughts or clues?

TIA
