My phone turns on you can hear the sound but the screen is black and I can't see anything

What do I do when my phone screen is black and I can't see anything but I hear it turning on?

Welcome to Android Central! The screen has probably failed, or was damaged from something like a drop, or water exposure. Bring it to a repair shop.
