My sd card in my Galaxy s5 isnt showing any of my pics

After my software update a week ago I tried finding my pictures to show an old friend and when accessing my SD card its showing none of my pictures are there. I'm not a Dropbox user nor fb so I can't figure out where they'd be.

Welcome to the forums. I would unmount the SD card (this is done is settings>storage) and put the card in you PC. If your PC can find them, make copies, return the card to your phone, and reformat it.
