Nextbook 7 Cracked the touchscreen...can I remote control without it working

Dropped a nextbook 7 and the screen cracked. All I know is its capacitive so not sure I can even diy jimmy rig it to work. Can you remote control it without having a working touchpad? Going to try to return it to Walmart soon regardless.... any tips

Without being able to toggle bluetooth on or off, I don't think a bluetooth mouse or keyboard will work. Also, the probability that Wal-Mart will take back an item that was damaged because of user neglect is slim.
