Notifications stopped

What would cause notifications to suddenly stop being sent to the watch? I have one app on my phone that was sending notifications perfectly. Until I woke up this morning. I haven't changed anything. I've double checked settings and all seems to be in order.

I have the opposite issue. Notifications that I have toggled off to send to watch, suddenly reappear on the watch a few weeks later. I toggle them off again but they invariably show up again. So something is changing my toggle settings. It's happening mostly on Gmail for me.

Doesn't sound like it's the exact same issue, but who knows for certain.
