Old phone updated, completely changed passwords, locked out

[Android Central Question]

I had an s6 active that water damage disabled the screen 3 years ago. This week i happened to find it and on a whim I tried charging it, screen worked! So it began updating, it did the marshmallow update.... and then I got locked out. The pattern doesn't work, nor does the passcode. No google option. The update literally changed my codes, now I'm locked out. Any help out there???

Welcome to Android Central! I doubt the update changed your passcode. It's possible the water damage still caused some residual screen damage, and your passcode isn't entering properly when you tap the screen. You could try connecting a basic USB keyboard via OTG cable and see if your passcode works that way.
