I don't want to lose MST and micro SD but I hate to admit I think the N20Us camera is crappy. I don't recall a smartphone camera that was disappointed with like I am with the N20s. It seems to always have focus problems and blurry pictures
I took a video at a concert and it was gawd awful.

I took comparison pictures at Best Buy and there was a huge difference. Micro SD and MST are very valuable to me but I do want a decent camera and the N20U doesn't cut it.

Is there a camera setting you use on your N20U that makes it take great pics? I'm trying to justify keeping this phone but with blurry pictures it's not easy

Mmmmm I just used basic point and shoot on this. Tons of light behind the tree. Balanced pretty well I think

Either you have something set wrong in your settings or your camera is faulty because I get great pictures from my Note 20U. My wife has the S21U and she always comments how my pictures look better than hers even though her phone is newer. I'm no photography expert either, I just point and shoot and the phone does its magic.

Hmmm, I don't think N20U camera is crappy. So far most picture I took turned out pretty good.

I've been satisfied with the camera. I'd just upgrade for the improved zoom. Couple from New York a couple of weeks ago.

My Note 20 Ultra was my favorite all around camera system in a phone for the last couple years. Now granted I don't have the phone anymore so I can't test it against my current crop of phones, but just going by what I remember it's still competes with those phones as well. And I have a ton of phones. It was better than my iPhone 12 Pro and my OnePlus 9 Pro. I think even though the main camera may just tie with my Pixel 6, the ultra wide and zoom on the 20 Ultra would beat it. I also think it's probably better than my iPhone 13 Pro. I don't really care for the camera on it to be honest. I haven't had a ton of time to snap pics on my S22 Ultra yet, so I haven't decided on that one yet.

Personally, I don't like the shallow depth of field/focus on the Note 20 Ultra. This is what gives it the "focus," issues. When shots come out good, I have to admit, they are better than my Note 10+. Especially in low light inside with shots of my kid.

I like being able to open my camera, take a simple shot, and that's it. Not a fan of having to crop in and all that. I'm happy with the images from my Note 10+. That said, I'd still be able to get my hands on one at an affordable price. They are still quite high, even used. I thought the S21 Ultra had an amazing camera, but never wanted to pick up one really due to the loss of the SD card slot.

S0U, N20U, S21U, and S22U all have the same shallow depth of field, it's a result of a larger camera sensor and they've all got the same sized sensor.

To be fair I had some great pics of my dog on the Note 20 ultra. I was a tad disappointed at close up/macro type shots though which I thought the Note 10+ did better with its 3X lens.

This is one of the reasons I bought the S22 Ultra for that 3X lens as well as the 10X for distance and it doesn't disappoint.

My Note 20 Ultra camera does a pretty good job, but I know that does not help. I haven't messed with the settings much.

@corvette72778, have you tried resetting the Camera to default?

Did you receive the UI 4.1 update? Maybe that might correct some issues. Just a thought.

Yeah, not a fan of this trend that Samsung has started in their devices.

The depth of field has been growing more and more narrow since the S3. It's a combination of increasing the sensor size and a wider aperture, both necessary to improve low light performance. It's a trend carried by all manufacturers but the 108mp camera sensor is much larger than the competition.

Wish they brought back the dual aperture from the S9/S10, it really helped with close up shots.
