Ok.. Problems with AT&T, and updates. History lesson here.
Note 9, SM-N960, AT&T Sim card and working off AT&T Network.

In February, I got the OTA update to 2.0, DTA4 with a security date of January 1.
In April, I was still on DTA4 with no update in sight. I checked with AT&T on their website and found that according to them, the latest update was DTB1, released on Feb 24, with a security patch of February 1.

I start running all the standard update troubleshooting. Cleared the Cache, rebooted, start in Safe mode and run, checked with Smart Switch who says that I am up to date (even with me running DTA4) I read online that people with AT&T are updating in droves to DTB1. I contact AT&T only to find that their trouble shooting is useless and assumes that once you run their stuff, everything is perfect. NOT! I even took the big step and did a factory reset and reload. No changes.

So I gave up for a while. Then dropped my phone and cracked the screen. Took it to a UbreakIfix and had them replace the screen. The tech also ran a full diagnostic on my phone and proclaimed it perfect. I asked him about the OS and he said that they could run a full update if I needed to. Since mine was still rebuilding again, I decided to wait and see what happened. Nothing happened. Went back a week later and they flashed my phone to DTB1.

So here we are in May, and my phone is still running DTB1, even though AT&T’s site says that the latest for the Note 9 was released on April 22, designated as DTC7, security date of April 1.

Back to AT&T’s site and run an online diagnostic on the update. According to them, their diagnostic can’t tell WHAT version I have on my phone. And they are totally no good.

So I guess what I gotta do as long as I have my note 9 is to go to UbreakIfix every couple of months and have them reflash my phone again and instead of a quick and simple update, I will have to go through a total factory reset every time. I don’t mind the rebuild if I am doing a LARGE update to a new OS (Hoping that the Note 9 gets 2.1 and maybe will fix this)

Any ideas how to fix this? I love my phone, but I hate having to do a total reset every time.

Personally if they phone is performing well otherwise on the OS you want, I would leave be.
I run for years without updates or issues on OS's.
This AT&T Note 10 plus hasn't been updated since Dec and unless I want Q... it never will be updated.
I'm sorta use to fast dangerous stuff though...

Oh and CSC home so it don't factory reset

Ok...
A) AP refused to load many many times. Kept crashing Odin. Finally it took it after staring at it for about 10 minutes.
B) After a sacrificial lamb was slaughtered and many many prayers (and threats), I clicked start... and Odin sat there for about 5 minutes thinking about it.
C) Finally, the progress bar twitched. Scared me to death. Thought my phone was having a seizure. (Thought I was too.... )
D) 10 minutes after I clicked start, it said that it was finished. I called it a liar.
E) Phone rebooted and then came up with a message, updating apps. (I think that I counted every one of them as they went by)
F) Phone reboots with a message,"Completing updates"
G) Finishes up, checked version and amazing... I got DTC7 now..... and everything seems to be perfect.

I love this forum.. LOL.. @mustang7757, you are the MAN!! thank you sir and @Ruben Ocasio. I just hope that this fixed the bug with future updates. If not, I know where to go.
