Photos lost during transfer from SD card in Samaung S7 to windows explorer.

[Android Central Question]

I was transferring some folders of pics from my SD card (samsung S7) to my computer using windows explorer. I basically selected the folder and cut it then pasted to the folder on my computer. I've never had any issues until today when 2 folders transferred over but didn't have any pics with them. They were completely gone from the SD card on my phone. Help!!!

Should do a copy and paste. Take the SD card out of the phone and try to read it in the pc.

Agreed. I always do a copy and paste from device to PC. Then, delete from device once I check to make sure all files copied over.

Welcome to Android Central! How much data was in each folder? In addition to avoiding the Move (or Cut) command when transferring files, I would also recommend against transferring a huge amount of data at a time, since that increases the chance of data transfer error.
